The Galapagos Island Hopping Tour package can be tuned to meet your needs, ranging from 5 to 8 days. This Galapagos Islands package is an excellent alternative to Galapagos Islands cruising. Our most popular 8-day option has you based out of Isabela and Santa Cruz islands, visiting sites on these islands and nearby points of interest.
A variety of wildlife and activities await you, led by excellent guides. Throughout the week we allow for a little bit of free time, giving you a chance to just relax on the beach with sea lions, explore town, or venture off on your own. Most meals are included, but you’ll also get a chance to try out some island eateries on your own.
Our time together starts from the time you arrive to Baltra Ecological airport. We will cross the Itabaca Chanel, where your wildlife viewing will surely begin. We often see frigate birds, and iguanas on our way over to Santa Cruz.
We will cross from the northern side of the island to the southern location of Puerto Ayora. Along the way we will stop in the highlands to view to massive craters known as the Twins, and we will take a walk along the rims. We will then move on to some ranchland, where we will get an up-close viewing of the giant Galapagos Tortoises in their natural habitat. The afternoon will finish up with a visit to the Charles Darwin Research Station. Here we will view more wildlife and learn about the history and conservation of the islands.
Included meals: Lunch
Today we will visit one of the following islands: Plazas, North Seymour, Santa Fe, Bartolome, or Chinese Hat. The visit will be determined by the season and current wildlife viewing opportunities. Our visit will include time snorkeling and exploring the island by foot.
Included meals: Breakfast & Lunch
An award-winning beach, Tortuga Bay offers amazing natural beauty and wildlife viewing opportunities. If the waves are right, you can rent a surfboard right on the beach and ride the waves alongside the sealions. (This is an optional self-guided visit)
In the afternoon we will have a two-hour crossing to Isabela Island. Along the way its often possible to view whales and dolphins. The sealions will great us upon arrival. We will have a little bit of time to explore the quaint town of Puerto Villamil before enjoying a spectacular sunset.
Included meals: Breakfast & Lunch
An educational and photographic morning has arrived to the Tortoise Breeding Center. We have a short trail taking us from the parking lot to the center. Along the way, we will be able to observe land iguanas and flamingos. The Fausto Llerena breeding Center provides shelter to a variety of tortoise species from hatchlings to adults. Eventually, they will be in their natural highlands habitat.
In the afternoon we head to a beautiful white sand beach, where we will jump aboard our kayaks and paddle our way to the Tintoreras Islet. Sealions like to follow us along to our snorkeling spot. Let’s gear up and look for penguins and turtles.
Included meals: Breakfast & Lunch
About an hour out of town, we will find the lava tunnels. The water is crystal clear on most days, allowing us to observe the sea floor. On the way to our snorkeling point we normally see Blue Footed Boobies, pelicans, rays, and other marine life. The combination of the lava formations and the marine life, which often includes sharks, will surely make today one of the highlights of the trip.
Many snorkel sites in the Galapagos have strong currents, but not this one! Lava tunnels are great for beginners, as the water is nice and calm.
In the afternoon we will do some exploration on solid ground. Where we hope to get some close encounters with Boobies!
Included meals: Breakfast, Snack, and Dinner
Isabela is a great place to enjoy a free morning. There is a great nearby beach for relaxing, or we can help you organize an activity such has horseback riding, snorkeling, or hiking. After lunch we will head back to Santa Cruz.
In the afternoon we will visit Las Grietas. Our arrival will take us along a coral beach known as German’s Beach, then the trail will take us along some lagoons inhabited by many shorebirds, and finally we descend along a cliff that will take us to our amazing snorkeling spot.
Included meals: Breakfast & Lunch
Today we have some options. We can choose to explore around town, checking out shops, sipping cocktails, and taking in the sight of the fish market. We can also plan another excursion, on the island itself or maybe to another one nearby.
Included meals: Breakfast
For those who want to get up early for some last-minute exploration, shopping, or photos, this is your last chance. You will have time for 2-3 hours around town before we need to head towards Baltra and get you to the airport. Most flights depart 11-12:00.
